1 cup | Medjool date (pitted, chopped) |
1 cup | Coconut, shredded |
1/4 tsp | Licorice Root Powder (optional) |
1 tsp | Coconut oil (melted) |
1 1/2 cup | Water (boiling) |
1. Pour enough boiling water over the dates to cover them. Let sit for 30-60 seconds and drain.
2. Add in the licorice root powder, coconut and coconut oil. Mix with your hands until everything is well combined.
3. Form balls with your hands and place in a single layer on a plate or parchment lined baking tray. Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving to solidify.
Licorice Root can be found at your local health food store, or larger stores such as Whole Foods or Organic Garage. If unable to locate, you may make the recipe without it. Still Delicious!
