Creamy, easy dairy free golden milk with ginger, turmeric, and coconut oil. Naturally sweetened, incredibly healthy, and so delicious.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cup
Coconut milk, sweetened
1 1/2 cup
Almond milk, unsweetened
1 1/2 tsp, minced
Turmeric root
1 piece, 1-inch
Ginger root
(thinly sliced)
1 stick(s)
Cinnamon
1 tbsp
Coconut oil
1 dash
Black pepper
(freshly ground)
1 tbsp
Maple syrup, pure
(optional; or sweetener of choice)
Instructions
In a small saucepan, add coconut milk, almond milk, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon stick, coconut oil, black pepper, and sweetener of choice.
Whisk to combine and warm over medium heat. Heat until hot to the touch but not boiling - about 4 minutes, while whisking frequently.
Turn off heat and taste to adjust flavour. Add more sweetener, more turmeric or ginger for a more intense flavour.
Remove cinnamon stick.
Divide between two glasses and serve immediately. Milk is best when fresh, though leftovers can be stored covered in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat on the stovetop or microwave until hot.
