Ingredients

Extra virgin olive oil

Apple
(tart green apple; diced)

(or use 2 Tbsp dried sage leaves; not ground sage)

Fennel seed
(crush or lightly chop)

Instructions
- Heat oil over medium heat. Add apples and onions. Cook until apples are soft and start to brown. About 5-8 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes.
- Combine all the ingredients to the minced turkey until thoroughly combined.
- Form into 1 oz patties.
- Cooking options:
- Pan fry: Heat a skillet over high heat with oil. Cook both sides about 4 minutes until fully cooked.
- Oven: Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. If available fit a rimmed baking sheet with a metal wire rack.
- Otherwise a rimmed baking sheet can be used. Place sausage on wire rack or baking sheet. Bake 15-18 minutes or until fully cooked
- Air Fryer: Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Place sausage in fry rack. Cook 6-8 minutes or until fully cooked.
Notes:
Storage:
Refrigerate up to 3 days or freeze.
Freeze on a baking sheet until solid to store in a zip lock bag.
Or divide with wax paper in a container.
Thaw under refrigeration or microwave.
Sausage can be reheated in microwave or toaster oven
