These hearty vegetarian Black Bean Burgers are quick and simple to make and do not fall apart! Enjoy with all your favorite burger fixings!
Ingredients
1 can (15oz)
Black beans, canned
(drained)
1/2 cup
Quinoa, uncooked
(uncooked)
1/2 cup
Bread crumbs, plain, gluten free
1 serving
VeganEgg
1 tbsp
Cumin
1/2 cup
Walnuts
(chopped)
2 clove(s)
Garlic
(minced)
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a food processor.
Pulse until combined and slightly sticky.
Press into a hamburger shape.
Grill: Place patties on greased aluminum foil and grill for 8 minutes on each side. Heat temperature is a personal preference as all grills differ. Generally, black bean burgers should grill on medium-high heat about 350°F (177°C) – 400°F (204°C). Skillet: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each until it looks dry and is cooked through.
Serve on its own, in a lettuce wrap, or on a bun, with all of your favorite burger fixings and sides!
Notes:
Vegan
The egg can be substituted with 1 tbsp freshly ground flax seeds & 3 tbsp water. Mixed and allowed to sit until thickened.
