Build Your Own Slider Board
Health Highlights
This slider bar is a great way to serve burgers to your family and friends! Load up on toppings, vegetables, and condiments. It's so fun!

Ingredients

2 large Tomato (sliced)
1 medium pepper(s) Jalapeno pepper (sliced)
1/2 large Red onion (thinly sliced)
12 medium slice Bacon (cooked)
908 gm Beef, ground, extra lean
1 tsp Salt (kosher)
12 bun Mini sandwich bun (brioche slider rolls)
6 tbsp Tomato ketchup
6 tbsp Yellow mustard
6 tbsp Mayonnaise, low fat
6 slice(s) Swiss cheese
6 slice Havarti cheese
6 slice Cheddar cheese, sharp
1/2 head Red leaf lettuce
24 slice(s) Dill pickles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to the highest heat.
  2. While the grill is preheating, prepare your slider bar ingredients. Slice the tomatoes, jalapeños and onions. Cook a few strips of bacon.
  3. To prepare the sliders, season the ground beef with salt. Form the beef into 12 slider-size burgers. Once the grill is hot, place the sliders directly on the grates. Cook the sliders for 3 to 4 minutes, then flip again and cook for another 3 minutes. Place a slice of cheese on top for the last minute if you’d like a cheeseburger! You want the internal temperature of the beef to be 160 degrees F.
  4. Assemble your slider bar - there is no right way to do it! Place your pre-cut brioche slider rolls on the board. Arrange your condiments in small bowls with spoons and fill in the gaps on the board with your cheeses, bacon strips, lettuce, and tomato, onion, jalapeno, and pickle slices. When the burgers are ready, place them on the board and build your own!

Notes:

This is such a fun idea for family and friends. You can include any ingredients you love, such as guacamole, salsa, sour cream, sautéed mushrooms, or caramelized onion, to create whatever kind of burgers you enjoy!
