2 cup | Brewed coffee (Organic, Fair Trade) |
1 tbsp | Butter, grass fed, unsalted (1 - 2 tbsp) |
1 tbsp | Coconut oil (1 - 2 tbsp) |
1/4 tsp | Vanilla extract, pure ((optional)) |
1/2 tsp | Cinnamon ((optional)) |
Put all ingredients in a blender. Mix on high speed for 20 seconds until creamy and frothy. Drink immediately while hot!
Note: When starting out with bulletproof coffee, start with less butter and MCT oil and gradually increase to 1-2 tbsp. Since the BPC is low in fiber, protein and other essential vitamins and nutrients, it is important to ensure your other meals are whole=foods based, and include lean protein, lots of vegetables and other healthy fats. Unless on a Ketogenic diet or a short-term “diet” or protocol, I do not recommend drinking BPC every single day. Alternate between this, smoothies, and other breakfast meals!
