1 1/2 cup | Brewed coffee (Organic, Fair Trade) |
1 tbsp | Ghee (organic and grass fed) |
1 tbsp | Coconut oil (or MCT oil) |
Put all ingredients in a blender. Mix on high speed for 20 seconds until creamy and frothy. Drink immediately while hot!
You can also put all ingredients into your cup of hot coffee and use a little electric wand/milk frother if you have one of those.
Note: When starting out with bulletproof coffee, start with less butter and MCT oil and gradually increase to 1-2 tbsp. Since the BPC is low in fiber, protein and other essential vitamins and nutrients, it is important to ensure your other meals are whole foods based, and include lean protein, lots of vegetables and other healthy fats. Unless on a Ketogenic diet or a short term “diet” or protocol, I do not recommend drinking BPC every single day. Alternate between this, smoothies, and other breakfast meals!
