A delicious and nutritious snack or light breakfast to start your day off on a sweet note.
Ingredients
1 tbsp
Chia seeds
1 tbsp
Cocoa powder, unsweetened
1 dash
Cinnamon
2 tsp
Stevia sweetener, powder
(or maple syrup)
1/4 cup
Almond milk, chocolate, unsweetened, Blue Diamond
1/4 tsp
Vanilla extract, pure
1 tsp
Orange juice
(or the juice from one or two wedges)
1/4 tsp
Orange peel (zest)
1 tbsp
Almonds, raw
(chopped)
Instructions
Add the chia seeds to a mason jar with the cocoa powder, cinnamon, sweetener, almond milk, vanilla, and orange juice. Stir or shake well to mix ingredients.
Let sit at least 10-20 minutes and then sprinkle with almonds and orange zest before securing the cover and storing in the fridge.
In the morning, remove from the fridge, grab a spoon, and enjoy.
Notes:
Garnish with more cinnamon, an orange wedge or even cacao nibs or carob chips, if desired.
