1 fillet | Whitefish (In Canada I liked using wild halibut, but you can try other white fish) |
2 tomato | Roma tomatoes (diced small) |
1/4 medium | Red onion (diced small) |
1 tbsp | Cilantro (coriander) (fresh chopped) |
1 pepper(s) | Serrano pepper (finely diced) |
4 fruit | Lime (fresh squeezed) |
1/2 tsp | Sea Salt (or to taste) |
1 dash | Black pepper (or to taste) |
1 tbsp | Extra virgin olive oil |
Tastes amazing with some organic blue corn tortilla chips!
Side note: if you are nervous about using fish raw, you may steam the fillets first then combine with the ingredients. You may serve this right away, but marinating is a nice way for the flavours to combine.
