3/4 cup chopped | Shallots ((spring or red onions)) |
1 cup | Basmati rice, dry |
1/2 tsp | Turmeric, ground |
1/2 tsp | Sea Salt (or more, to taste) |
1 tbsp | Extra virgin olive oil |
Preparation:
Add rice, turmeric, salt, butter or oil and water on the cooker. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low (make sure rice is still at a low simmer) cover and set timer for 20 minutes. When the rice is finished cooking, remove from heat, add frozen peas, stir them into the rice and return to the pot for 8-10 minutes. Serve
