Inspired by the Spicy Lamb Sausage recipe from Nourishing Traditions
Ingredients
1 1/3 kg
Beef, ground, lean
(grassfed organic beef )
2 onion(s)
Sweet onion
(chopped finely)
1/2 tsp
Cinnamon
1/2 tsp
Allspice, ground
1/2 tsp
Nutmeg, ground
1/2 tsp
Ginger, ground
1 tsp
Cayenne pepper
1 tsp
Cumin
1 tsp
Coriander, ground
1 tsp
Black pepper
1 tsp
Sage, ground
1 tsp
Oregano, dried
2 tsp
Sea Salt
1 tbsp, leaves
Basil, dried
2 medium
Egg
(optional)
Instructions
Mix all ingredients with the paddle attachment from stand mixer (this makes the sausage tougher, which I think is just fine because they stay together better that way).
If you don’t want it tough, you can mix it all together with a fork or wooden spoon.
Shape into patties and fry in coconut oil on med to med-high until no longer pink in the center (about 10 minutes per side).
