Simple, tasty, and easy apple pancakes that kidney-friendly!
Ingredients
1 cup
All-purpose white flour
1 tbsp
Granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp
Baking powder
1/2 tsp
Baking soda
1 tsp
Cinnamon
1 large
Egg
(lightly beaten)
1 cup
Oat Milk, Minor Figures Dairy
(or milk of choice)
1 medium
Apple, red delicious
(grated)
1 tbsp
Canola oil
1 tsp
Margarine, non-hydrogenated
8 tbsp
Maple syrup
Instructions
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and cinnamon.
In a large bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, apple, and oil.
Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
Heat a non-stick skillet on medium heat. Add margarine and allow to melt, coating the skillet
Pour in batter, approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the underside is golden brown. Flip and cook just until the bottom is browned.
Serve pancakes with maple syrup.
