Cacao Nib Blueberry Smoothie

Ingredients


2 cup Frozen blueberries
1/2 medium Frozen banana
2 scoop Whey protein powder, chocolate (equivalent to ~40 g of protein per serving. *)
1 tbsp Cacao nibs
2 cup Frozen spinach
1 tbsp Peanut butter, natural (or nut butter of choice)
3 cup Almond milk, unsweetened (shake well)

Instructions


  1. Add all the ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!

Notes:

You can use your protein powder of choice or I use Garden of Life Whey Chocolate protein powder in this recipe

Upgrades/add-ins: 

  • Maca root powder
  • shelled hemp seeds, ground flax or chia seeds
  • collagen powder in place of whey or 1/2 whey 1/2 collagen
  • to reduce the saturated fat content, omit the cacao nibs
