Best to make in a cast iron pot. But you can still make in a regular pot,
start with the oil, on high heat that up then add all wet ingredients, and if you are adding anything extra like canned beans or veggies. Bring to boil.
Add rice once boing then lower heat.
let it cook for 15-20 minutes, add dry seasoning and mix well, cover with aluminum foil then lid, and lower heat to low to medium. stirring regularly so that the rice doesn't stick to the bottom of the pot. once the rice is soft and water is dissolved, you can shut off heat and remove pot from heat.
Ready to serve once all finished.
