Heat 2 inches of water in a large pot with a steamer basket on high. When the water boils, reduce heat and add the kale and broccoli to the steamer basket. Steam for three minutes, then put them in a bowl.
Add the avocado, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and hemp seeds, if using.
Toss gently until everything is combined. Taste and adjust lemon juice, oil, or salt as needed.
