1 cup | Green lentils, raw ((black lentils) soaked in water overnight) |

750 ml | Plain yogurt, 1- 2% M.F. |

1 tbsp | Cane sugar (to taste. (can also use honey or brown sugar)) |

In a blender put green chilies, ginger, soaked lentil ,blend it to a fine paste don't add more water it should be a thick paste,
Put it in a bowl beat it with a better until it is a fuffy paste ,almost double in size .
Heat the oil in the wok put 1 tablespoon of blended lentil paste in the oil nd fry it until it is light golden brown in colour, remove it nd put it in a bowl of room temperature water immediately ,leave it for 2 min so that it can be soften ,then remove it from water gently squeeze all water nd oil from the puff. put aside.
In a separate bowl put yogurt, sugar ,salt nix well put it in freezer fir 15 min until chilled.
After 15 min put the chilled sweet yougurt nd tamarind sauce on lentil puffs ,it's ready to serve.
For tamarind sauce:
Take 6 dates,1 tea spoon of cumin,one teaspoon of whole corrinader seeds,1 teaspoon of red chilli flakes, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar,2 tablespoons of vinegar, 1/2 cup of water mix well nd boil for 10 min mix well ,cool ,ready to serve on dahi vada,lentil puff ir u can use this sauce with any bbq dish also v yummy sauce.
