Super Green Spirulina Smoothie (AIP)
Health Highlights
A nutritious and vibrant green smoothie with 5 ingredients: avocado, cucumber, coconut milk, spirulina, and spinach! The perfect plant-based breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

1 cup Spinach (chopped; ((organic when possible // I like to freeze mine)))
1 tsp Spirulina powder (or chlorella - optional)
1/2 avocado(s) Avocado (or chlorella - optional)
1/2 tbsp Honey, raw (or chlorella - optional)
1/2 scoop Whey protein powder, unflavoured
1 cube(s) Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. To a blender*, add avocado, cucumber, coconut milk, spinach, protein and spirulina Blend until creamy and smooth, scraping down sides (or using smoothie wand) as needed.
  2. If too thick, thin with water or more coconut milk. If too thin, thicken with ice. Taste and adjust flavor as needed, adding more honey for sweetness, cucumber for freshness, or greens or spirulina for green color.
  3. Serve immediately as is. Best when fresh, though leftovers will keep covered in the refrigerator up to 2 days or the freezer for 1 week. Thaw to enjoy from freezer.'
