These fruit and veggie snacks are the perfect hands-on after-school snack or a fun lunchbox idea.
Ingredients
6 Grapes
Green Grape
1 medium
Strawberries
(leaves removed)
2 chip(s)
Dark chocolate chips
2 stick
Pretzels, hard, plain, unsalted
2 berry
Blueberries
1 medium
Carrots
(cut into 6 matchsticks)
1 tbsp
Mayonnaise, low fat
1 10-inch tortilla(s)
Spinach Tortilla
2 slice
Italian salami, pork
1 slice(s)
Swiss cheese, low fat
1/3 cup
Baby spinach
1/4 cucumber(s)
Cucumber
(cut into thin strips)
1 tomato
Cherry Tomatoes
1/2 medium
Black olives
(sliced)
Instructions
For fruit caterpillar
Slide grapes onto a skewer to form a caterpillar body. Add strawberry for ahead.
Press chocolate chips into strawberries for eyes.
Top pretzels with blueberries. Press into top of strawberry for antennae.
Lay carrots near each grape to represent legs.
For veggie caterpillar:
Spread mayonnaise on the tortilla.
Add salami, cheese, spinach, and half of the cucumbers.
Roll up and trim off ends. Cut wrap into 5 pieces.
Slide pieces and tomato onto a skewer. Cut slits in tomato and insert black olives for eyes and cucumbers for antennae.
Use remaining cucumber to represent legs.
