437 ml Beef broth (stock)
908 gm Beef, chuck, blade, lean (cut into cubes)
2 tbsp Chili sauce, hot
2 clove(s) Garlic (minced)
2 tbsp Paprika
1 tsp Salt and pepper
57 gm Wheat flour, whole wheat
20 ml Whisky (40% alcohol by volume) (2 jiggers Jack Daniels bourbon)
2 medium Yellow onion (diced)

Instructions


  1. Chop the onions and place with the paprika, garlic, and cooking oil in a large saucepan on a low heat.
  2. Place the flour, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Cube the steak, and cover in the flour. Brown in a hot pan with a little oil and add to the onions when they have softened.
  3. Add the beef stock, slowly at first, and stirring all the time to avoid lumps forming. Add the rest of the ingredients. Cover, and allow to simmer for 2 1/2 hours.
  4. Garnish with fresh chopped green herbs.
